Aluminum will be greenhouse gas neutral by 2025

Climate change, sustainability are driving new opportunities for automotive aluminum, according to AATS President
"Automotive customers are going to need every tool, material, and technology available to build sustainable vehicles," Misha Riveros-Jacobson, president of Alcoa Auto & Truck Structures, told the Aluminum Association at their annual spring meeting in Nashville, Tennessee. Highlighting aluminum’s performance advantage in environmentally friendly and safe vehicles, she outlined the challenges stemming from "new steel" and changing regulatory standards.
