Big success for month of service 2008

Alcoa employees demonstrated their commitment to their local communities, during the 3rd annual Alcoa Foundation Worldwide Month of Service last month. 2245 employees took part this year – a 6% increase from 2007.

As an ‘Employer of Choice for Women’ and as part of our commitment to workplace diversity, Alcoa has entered into a three year partnership with the Federal Government’s Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency. New EOWA research, funded by Alcoa, released today shows an increasing number of organisations are providing flexible work arrangements. It's Alcoa’s hope that this research will help shape workplaces across the country and strengthen Australian communities.
